Some of the famous temples in India which have the top most revenue are discussed below. Badrinath Badrinath is an important Dham amongst the sacred Char Dham pilgrimage in holy Himalayas. Sitting at an elevation of 3133 mtrs above sea level on the banks of river Alaknanda this beautiful temple town is surrounded by Nar & Narayan Parbat. If the climate and clouds are clear one can get a view of the majestic Neelkanth peak 6560mts.The best time to visit Badrinath is between May to September. After visiting Yamunotri Gangotri and Kedarnath we halted at Srinagar. Touching Panch Prayag, we reached Badrinath. The view enroute is spectacular with narrow winding roads, the rocky terrains and the high altitude cliffs are simply overwhelming. There are several cozy hotels for a comfortable stay at Badrinath. The Shrine can be seen from far with a brightly painted and decorated entrance. Lord Vishnu here is worshipped as Badri Vishal and the main deity is accompanied by Kubera, Garuda, Narada & Nar Narayan deities. Below the temple is Tapta Kund which is a natural hot water spring just on the banks of River Alaknanda. Before visiting the temple pilgrims take Dip in this Tapt Kund and then take Darshan of Badri Vishal ji. Further below is the Brahma Kapal where people offer prayers to their ancestors. We attended the Aarti and had a very Divine Darshan of Lord Vishnu. The peace can be felt from within inside the Main Mandir. Just 5 kms from the temple is Mana Village the last human habitat and it is the INDO CHINA (TIBET) border. Nearby one can visit Vyas Gufa where Maharishi Ved Vyas recited The Epic Mahabharata while lord Ganesha chronicled it. And further above after few kms trek, one can also see the spectacular Vasudhara and Bhimpul from where Pandavas passed on their way to Swargarohini. The two popular pilgrim centers around Badrinath are Joshimath or Jyotirmath and Hemkund Saheb the Sacred Sikh pilgrim site. This is not accessible by motorable road. One must make a 14 kms trek through the beautiful Valley of Flowers to reach Hemkund Sahib. Ponies and Dolis can be hired for this trek. The serene valleys, the humming river flowing along, mesmerizing beauty in all sides makes this region truly Dev Bhoomi. Every Hindu would wish to visit Badrinath at least once in their life time and I truly cherish every moment I spent in this sacred Vaikunth Dham. Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Temple This is one of the famous Hindu temple which is located at the Tirupati of state Andhra Pradesh. This famous temple is mainly dedicated to lord Balaji who is mainly worshipped as lord Vishnu in Hindu peoples. Here the statue of lord. Balaji is coated with 1000kg of gold. This temples reserves 5 tonne of gold and Rs 560 crore on its account. The crown of God is made by precious diamonds which have also crore value. The dome of this temple is also made by gold. This is one of the richest temples in India which have the highest revenue. On the occasion Ram Navami this temple collects amount of Rs 5.73 crore. It has been confirmed that last FY 2011-2012 this temple has Rs 1,949.26 crore amount in the trust fund. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple This famous religious shrine is mainly located at the Shirdi village of Maharashtra state. This beautiful shrine was built over the Samadhi of Shirdi Sai Baba. This temple is also one of the richest shrines in India. The Shirdi Sai Baba trust collects RS. 350 crore per every year. Golden Temple (Amritsar) This famous temple is one of the religious shrines of Sikh religion which is located at Amritsar in the state Punjab. This temple is mainly situated amidst of a lake.
